Fisher Lumber Company is a locally owned, full
service lumberyard that has been family operated since 1955.
Located in Garden Plain, we have been supplying the Wichita
and surrounding areas with quality building materials for
over a half century.
After
serving his country during World War II, Vince Fisher worked
as the manager of Comley Lumber yard for several years. In
1955, Vince and Marjorie Fisher bought the yard and started
Fisher Lumber Company. Starting with only 2
other employees and one delivery truck, Vince's philosophy
was clear; offer quality materials at a competitive price,
while maintaining the highest degree of customer service possible.
A generation
and 50 years later, many things at Fisher Lumber Company
have changed.
- We
now have over 45 employees, with sales experience of over
200 combined years in the building material industry.
- Our
fleet of bright yellow delivery trucks and white sales trucks
numbers over 20.
- We
have another location on the west side of Wichita, Ridge
& Taft St.
- We
manufacture many of the items that we sell.
One thing
that hasn't changed and never will, is Fisher Lumber
Company's commitment to the customer.
